BOULDER RUSH
In stock
Named after stretch of the Clinton river in Fiordland, New Zealand, the variations of green in these bound Toki are gorgeous. The 'Boulder Rush' displays marble like texture, is beautifully bound and very eye catching!
As an adornment, the Toki, or Adze, is said to bring courage and strength in times of adversity. It is a symbol of courage and strength in times of adversity and is often worn by Maori elders as a symbol of power, wisdom and authority.
Maori believe that carvings carry the spirit of those who wear them, becoming an important family Taonga (treasure) passed on to future generations of the family as an heirloom.
We hand-plait the cords and lash the top of the toki in a traditional pattern.
We provide these beautiful Toki pendants on hand plaited adjustable cords and will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
